Members of the Worcester Police Neighborhood Response Team were on patrol near King St. on Thursday, June 11, in response complaints.
One patrol saw an exchange take place around 1:30 PM and stopped the buyer to investigate. The investigation found this person in possession of what officers suspected to be crack cocaine.
The seller in the transaction attempted to run when police approached him.
Police determined that Markel Pagan, 18, Worcester, was the seller in the transaction they witnessed. Officers recovered 13 bags of what they believed to be crack cocaine when arresting him.
Pagan faces charges of Distribution of a Class B Substance, Possession of a Class B Substance with intent to Distribute, and Resisting Arrest.
