18-Year-Old Worcester Man Indicted for Murder

WORCESTER – A Worcester County Grand Jury indicted two men on Friday, March 26, in the shooting death of a boy on October 24, 2021.

A 17-year-old boy was killed in the shooting in the parking lot of Wendy’s at 500 Park Ave. in Worcester.

Police arrested Messiah Amankwa, 18, of Worcester (pictured above) on November 20 in Webster. The grand jury indicted Amankwa for Murder and Possession of a Firearm not at Home or Work.

Police took Diomar Lopez Carrasco, 23, of Spencer, into custody in the days following the arrest of Amankwa. Carrasco faces charges of Accessory after the Fact of Murder.

The indictments move the charges both were facing in Worcester District Court to Superior Court.
