SHREWSBURY – A gas station clerk at Flynn’s Truck Stop on Turnpike Rd. in Shrewsbury, called first responders around 3 AM on Saturday, January 30, to report an armed robbery.

The clerk reported that three men entered the store, one armed, and demanded money and goods.

While heading toward the scene, a Shrewsbury Police officer saw a dark-colored sedan travelling away from Flynn’s. The officer attempted to engage a traffic stop, but the driver of the vehicle increased speed.

The suspects led the officer in pursuit into the City of Worcester while driving at a high rate of speed. When the driver attempted to make an evasive maneuver onto Hamilton St., the vehicle slid off the road and became inoperable.

All three suspects fled from the scene on foot into a wooded area nearby.
