WORCESTER – Local musicians were celebrated at Off the Rails, at 90 Commercial St., on Wednesday at the 2022 Worcester Music Awards presented by Pulse Magazine.
The award show celebrates the best and brightest musical talent in the Worcester area included over 25 award categories in recognition of the talent and dedication of performers across a diverse range of musical styles.

Jason Paulino took away multiple awards including best male vocalist, while Great Escape won the coveted award for best rock band. Local music legend Walter Crockett also was given a lifetime achievement award to honor his music career that has spanned over 60 years.
The awards ceremony was hosted by comedian Shaun Connolly and included giveaways sponsored by Joes Albums and Budweiser.
The Worcester Music Awards is an annual event to celebrate the musical talent in the Worcester area and was first held in 2005.

- Best Male Vocalist: Ricky Duran
- Best Hardcore/Metal Act: Whiskey Church
- Best Jam/Groove Act: Clamdigger
- Best Jazz Act: The Russo Brothers
- Best Live Act: The Blue Light Bandits
- Best Live Venue: Palladium
- Best Up and Comers: Liam Coleman
- Best Pop Act: The Blue Light Bandits
- Best Electronica Act: SunshineNite
- Best Punk Act: Michael Kane and the Morning Afters
- Best Radio DJ: Nick Noble
- Best Rap/Hip Hop Act: Genocide Geno
- Best Rock Act: Bobbing for Apples
- Best Solo Act: Cara Brindisi
- Best Local Music Station: WAAF
