Here are the 2024 Most Checked Out Books at Worcester Public Library

WORCESTER – The Worcester Public Library has released its lists of most checked out books of 2024, including books for teens, kids and adults.

In the past year, the library has loaned over 640,000 items.

“At Worcester Public Library, we take pride in connecting our patrons with books that inspire a love for reading—whether it’s a blockbuster bestseller, a cherished children’s book series, or the latest installment in a popular graphic novel series,” said Jennifer Marien, Deputy Director for Adult Services. 

Library staff compiled a list of the top ten borrowed print books for kids, teens, and adults over the past year.

WPL’s top ten borrowed books for each age range were as follows:

Top 10 kids:

  1. “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Diper Överlöde” by Jeff Kinney
  2. “Dog Man: Twenty Thousand Fleas Under the Sea” by Dav Pilkey
  3. “Baby-Sitter’s Club: Mary Anne’s Bad Luck Mystery” by Cynthia Yuan Cheng and Ann M. Martin
  4. “Sisters” by Raina Telgemier
  5. “The Pigeon HAS to Go to School!” by Mo Willems
  6. “Enemies” by Svetlana Chmakova
  7. “Super Mario Manga Mania” by Yukio Sawada
  8. “Dork Diaries 14: Tales From a Not-So-Best Friend Forever” by Rachel Renée Russell
  9. “Pokémon Visual Companion” by Simcha Whitehill
  10. “The Sky’s the Limit! (Minecraft)” by Nick Eliopulos

 

Top 10 teens:
