WORCESTER – The 23-year-old homicide victim from Sunday morning’s shooting on Sturgis St. has been identified as Jovannexen Rivera.
The second shooting victim, a 28-year-old male, remains in serious condition, according to the Worcester Police Department [WPD].
Both men were shot early Sunday morning. The investigation remains ongoing. According to the WPD, officers responded to Sturgis St just after 2:30 AM on Sunday. While securing the crime scene, officers found three parked cars had been hit with stray bullets. Witnesses said that a male had come from the side of a home nearby and fired several shots before fleeing the scene.
There is limited information on the suspect at this time.
