26-Year-Old Westborough Man Dead After Shrewsbury St. Crash

WORCESTER – Police are investigating a fatal crash on Shrewsbury Street on Monday, September 9.

Officers responded to a report of a serious crash near McDonald’s at 465 Shrewsbury St, shortly before 3 AM.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found that the motorcycle operator, a 26-year-old Westborough man, sustained serious injuries. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

According to the Worcester Police Department, the preliminary investigation revealed that the operator of the motorcycle was travelling at a high rate of speed. The crash occurred as the vehicle was turning left, throwing the man from the motorcycle.

Although the crash damaged the vehicle, no injuries occurred.

The incident remains under investigation.
