WORCESTER – A single-car crash on Route 290 on Saturday, September 11, led to the death of the driver.
According to the Massachusetts State Police, the preliminary investigation reveals Andrew St. Denis, 26, of Stow, lost control of the 2009 Honda Accord he was driving near exit 26B at around 8:30 PM. The exit heads leads to Route 140 northbound toward Boylston.
The vehicle travelled into the infield of the ramp, where it struck a tree. St. Denis was determined dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation by the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS) and Crime Scene Services Section (CSSS).
Along with State Police, Mass DOT, the Shrewsbury Fire Department Worcester EMS and the Office of the Chief Medical Examine responded to the scene.
