3 Men Arrested for Break-In at Apartment in Worcester

WORCESTER – Early Sunday morning, February 21, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to Gates St. for a report of a break-in.

Police dispatch received numerous reports of multiple masked males dressed in black who had kicked in an apartment door and entered the apartment.

Police were told the suspects fled the area toward Crystal Park. When officers responded, three males were spotted on Illinois St. They took off running through the park when they saw police.

Officers chased them through the park and caught up with the suspects. The men were identified as:

  • Vladimir Sosa, 29, of the Bronx, New York
  • Abraham Carrera, 34, of the Bronx, New York
  • Cesar Garcia, 39, of Bushkill, PA

Officers recovered a silver handgun from the area where the males had fled. Officers recovered ammunition from Garcia and a taser from Sosa. Neither of these men had a license to carry these items.

After the males were taken into custody, officers continued to investigate and found additional evidence linking the males to the address that had been burglarized.

All three males are charged with: Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony, Trespass, Breaking and Entering at Night with Intent to Commit a Felony, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Carry of a Firearm, Possession of a Ammunition without an FID Card, and Unlawful Carry of a Firearm (Loaded). In addition, Mr. Carrera is charged with Resisting Arrest. They will be arraigned in court.
