WORCESTER – A fight in Worcester during the early morning on Saturday, September 12, left a man stabbed with a serious eye wound and another facing several related charges.
An individual flagged down a Worcester Police officer on late-night patrol at around 2 AM to report a fight in the parking lot at 73 Winter Street. Upon arrival, a witness informed officers a stabbing took place.
Officers soon located a stabbing victim who EMS transported to a local hospital with a serious eye injury
Witnesses provided a description of the individual to police, who broadcasted the information on the police radio.
A short time later, police approached Jason Rennie, 33, of Worcester, on Harding Street, as he matched the provided description. As police approached, Rennie began running. Officers caught him at the bottom of Grafton Street, near the Kenmore Diner, and arrested him.
Rennie faces charges of:
- Armed Assault to Murder
- Mayhem
- two counts of Possession of a Per Se Dangerous Weapon
- Disorderly Conduct
- Disturbing the Peace
