WORCESTER – Police arrested a Worcester man for distribution of Fentanyl on Friday, October 22, after they say they witnessed a hand-to-hand transaction on the street.
Officers from the Neighborhood Response Team saw two men meet near Main Street and King Street around 11 AM. They say one man handed cash to a second man, Joseph Baez, 43, of Worcester, who passed something back to the first man.
Officers stopped the first man and located a plastic bag suspected to be Fentanyl.
Baez, who initially avoided police, was later taken into custody.
Baez faces charges of Distribution of A Class A Substance.
