Five Men Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Worcester

WORCESTER – A multi-agency investigation led to the arrest of five men and the seizure of multiple drugs in Worcester on Friday, Sept. 13.

A joint investigation by the Worcester Police Department (WPD) Vice Squad and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program led to a judge approving a search warrant for a Fox Street residence.

WPD officers, with support from the Framingham Police Department’s Canine unit, executed the warrant at around 6 AM.

During the search, officers discovered:

  • 10,000 counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl;
  • Around  700 grams of fentanyl powder;
  • Around 500 grams of cocaine;
  • A large amount of currency; and
  • Several items used in the packaging and processing of narcotics.

The five men arrested all face charges of Trafficking over 200 grams of Cocaine and Trafficking in Class A (Fentanyl) over 200 grams.

The men arrested are:

  • Luis Ortiz, 31
  • Christian Cruz Velasquez, 39
  • Angel Santos, 45
  • Leslie Rodriguez Santos, 37
  • Luis Cruz, 35
