In today’s edition – Friday, December 11 – two local companies win Economic Assistance approval in Massachusetts, the Worcester Bravehearts are offering 30% off merchandise through December 16, a local dentist purchases an office building on Harvard St. in Worcester for $1.15 million, BayCoast Mortgage opened its first office in Worcester County in Auburn and McDonald’s is offering the go-to order of your favorite holiday characters for free starting December 14.

Companies in Leominster and Webster Win Economic Assistance Approval

The Massachusetts Economic Assistance Coordinating Council approved 12 projects in Massachusetts, two of those in Worcester County, for participation in the Economic Development Incentive Program.

Guardian Angels Senior Services in Leominster will open a new office in Leominster and revitalize an anchor building downtown. The company is investing $1.47 million and expected to create 40 jobs.

The city of Leominster plans to approve a five-year Tax Financing Agreement with a value of approximately $8,436.

Goya Foods, which operates 205,000 sq. feet of warehouse space in Webster and is considering investing another $5 million in the construction of approximately 120,000 square feet of space. The company is retaining 120 current employees and expected to create 10 new jobs.

The town of Webster has approved a six-year Tax Financing Agreement with a value of approximately $301,200.

Harvard St. Office Building Sold for $1.15 Million

Dr. Monica Gobran, a local dentist with a practice on Park Ave., completed the purchase of 11 Harvard St. this week for $1.15 million.

The office building some 10,000 sq. feet and currently has several attorneys as tenants.

NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs, a commercial real estate company based in Worcester, announced the sale on Wednesday, December 9.

 

BayCoast Mortgage Opens Office in Auburn

BayCoast Mortgage Company, headquartered in Swansea, has opened its first office in Worcester County at 489 Washington St. in Auburn.

The office will focus solely on loan requests, primarily handling residential mortgages in addition to other types of loans.

Daniel Kirschner, a Mortgage Loan Officer and Sturbridge resident, will lead the office. The office’s Loan Origination Assistant, Amy Dufresne, is a Dudley resident.

 

McDonald’s To Feature Free Daily Deals Starting December 14

From December 14 through December 24, McDonald’s will feature different holiday character and their go-to order for free with a $1 minimum purchase through its app.

The featured characters include Frosty, Buddy the Elf, the Grinch and characters from classic movies like National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Gremlins, and Die Hard.
