Food Truck Throwdown Returns this Summer
After a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Food Truck Throwdown is making its triumphant return.
This year, the event will be held at Beaver Brook Park and will include a craft fair. The Throwdown will take place on July 31 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Celebrity judges and attendees will get to choose the “2020” best food truck. Parking is free and admission is $5.
Green Hill Golf Course is hosting a TaylorMade Fitting Day
Next week, Green Hill golf course will be hosting a TaylorMade Fitting Day at their driving range.
Particpants can be professionally fitted for TaylorMade golf clubs, including the brand new line of TaylorMade products.
The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Hangover Pub is Releasing a New Menu on Friday
Good news for foodies in Worcester’s Canal District. The always evolving and inspired The Hangover Pub on Green Street is hitting the refresh button and releasing a new summer menu.
The new menu – seen below – will be available starting Friday at 4 p.m.

Rocco’s Doughnut Co. Returns to Thursdays in Millbury
Starting today — Thursday, May 20 — Rocco’s Doughnut Company in Millbury will be open again on Thursdays.
The popular specialty donut shop will now be open four days a week — Thursday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Get down there early because they sell out quick!
Research Bureau Releases In-Person Opt-In School Rates
The Worcester Regional Research Bureau [WRRB] published a brief on in-person opt-in rates for high school students in Worcester Public Schools.
The brief examines geographic and racial patterns in which grades 9-12 Worcester Public Schools [WPS] students have opted into in-person learning and which are remaining fully remote.
WRRB also maintains an interactive map and chart to better facilitate access to the data.
