Hanover Theatre’s Summer Program to Perform The Music Man
The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Art’s 2019 Youth Summer Program (YSP) will present Meredith Willson’s The Music Man on Friday, July 26 at 7 pm and Saturday, July 27 at 2 and 7 pm, and the second session will present the show Friday, August 16 at 7 pm and Saturday, August 17 at 2 pm and 7 pm.
YSP Pre-Teen will present The Music Man JR. on Saturday, August 10 at 2 pm and 6 pm. Tickets for all performances are on sale now.
The Music Man is family entertainment at its best, featuring some of musical theatre’s most iconic songs and a story filled with wit, warmth and good old-fashioned romance. Meredith Willson’s six-time, Tony® Award winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a story to be shared with every generation.
The 11th Annual Art in the Park Starts this Weekend
The large-scale sculptures of Art in the Park return to Elm Park for the summer with works from over two dozen artists, including pieces from Worcester Public School teachers and students.
The opening celebration of “Interludes” is from 2 PM to 6 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2019, and will feature violinist Daniel Asuka, Parillo, Skop, and Brynes Trio, the Russo Brothers’ Jazz Quintet, and a music-making lesson with Gret Cooney’s g-scale pentatonix drum.

In it’s 8th year at Elm Park in Worcester, the Day of Play Family Festival takes place on June 15 from 11 AM to 4 PM. This annual festival is free to all and offers 50+ activities and performances. Last year, the festival attracted 6000 families of young children ages 3 to 10.
