Worcester Wares Celebrates Pride Month with T-Shirt Contest
Worcester Wares — located at Door 22 of the DCU Center — is celebrating Pride month by giving away a whole rainbow set of their classic “Worcester 1722 t-shirt.
One winner will win all 10 t-shirts in an assortment of sizes.
To enter the giveaway: Tag a friend that you’d share your shirts on Worcester Wares Facebook post below. Each comment you leave, equals one entry. If you share the contest to your own page and tag Worcester Wares, you can earn yourself another entry.
Winners will be selected July 1.
Worcester PD Hosting Boxing Event at Worcester’s East Park Tonight
The Worcester Police Department’s P.A.L. Boxing is hosting its “East Park Throw Down” tonight in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester.
The event takes place at East Park — 172 Shrewsbury St — at 6 PM. Admission is free.
Groundbreaking for Worcester Public Library Renovations Takes Place on Wednesday
The Worcester Public Library, City of Worcester, and Worcester Public Library Foundation will mark the construction kickoff for the renovations of the Main Library with a ceremonial groundbreaking by the renovation project team on Wednesday, June 12 at 3:30 PM.
Mayor Joseph M. Petty, City Councilor Candy Mero-Carlson, City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr., and representatives from the Worcester Public Library, Worcester Public Library Foundation, and community partners will be in attendance.
Worcester Art Museum Releases Summer Schedule
The Worcester Art Museum is currently in its summer schedule and has released a long list of events and activities for families, youth and aspiring artists.
New this summer is the Art Garden at WAM, a community project with the Southeast Asian Coalition of Massachusetts (SEACMA) and Regional Environmental Council (REC) which features an outdoor garden installation designed by Boston artist Andrew Mowbray.

Worcester Public Schools Releases 2019-2020 Schedule
Ahead of the conclusion of this year’s school calendar, Worcester Public Schools has released next year’s school calendar.
The school year is set to begin on August 26 and end on June 10 [if there’s no snow].
