Russo Italian Restaurant Opens Tonight

From the ownership of Lock 50, a new restaurant is opening up today at 65 Water St. in Worcester’s Canal District.

Russo Italian Restaurant announced on Wednesday that they would be opening today at 4:30 PM to the public.

Wiffle Ball Game to Celebrate the Jimmy Fund and Future Polar Park

A charity wiffle ball tournament will take place at the future home of the Worcester Red Sox’ Polar Park in the city’s Canal District on Saturday morning, June 15, from 9 AM to 11 AM. The games will take place in the parking lots behind Table Talk Pies on Madison St. 

Teams made up of local media personnel, politicians and Worcester police officers will play against each other to support the Jimmy Fund. Worcester Police Chief Steve Sargent and Worcester Fire Chief Michael Lavoie will also be playing. 

Spectators are welcome and are encouraged to bring donations for the Jimmy Fund. 

A New Exhibit to Open at Krikorian Gallery

The Worcester Center for Crafts’ Krikorian Gallery will be hosting an opening reception tonight for the new exhibit, “From Our Studios”.

The opening reception is free and runs from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The exhibit runs from tonight until Saturday, July 6.

The exhibit will feature work from Kathryn Aroian, Paula Artal-Isbrand, Lindsey Aubuchon, Jennie Berthiaume, Kirk Boattenhamer, Catherine Burchat, Lillian Burkart, Bettie Carlson, Sande Cohen, David R. Comeau, Len Conte, Cary Dyer, Patricia M. Flannery, David Gates, Sydney Goddard-Herholz, Judy Goodstein, Lisa Hall, Anelise Horah, Frank Kartheiser, Lisa Kilgo, David Kobes, Susan Kraft, Annie Lamontagne, Holly Lauer, Jessica Lister, Heather March, Lindsey Parker, Alexea Portner, Claudia Sarver, Kym Shortill, Arlen Sjosten, Phyllis Spatrick, Susan Elizabeth Sweeney, Amy Tims, Sandy Tosi, Jill Watts, Linda Williams, Erica Willis, Kari Winfield, and Rebecca Zablocki.

The Worcester Center for Crafts is located at 25 Sagamore Rd.

 

Hearing to be Held Tonight for Future Marijuana Establishment

A hearing will be held tonight at Tatnuck Post No. 288 at 570 Mill St. for a proposed retail marijuana establishment at 342 W. Boylston St. for Munro Associates, LLC.

The hearing will take place at 6 PM.
