Pepe’s Taqueria Opened in Tatnuck Square

One of the newest additions to the Tatnuck Sq. area — Pepe’s Taqueria — opened its doors on July 9. 

Pepe’s took over the former Papa Gino’s and could conceivably add a decent one-two punch with its new neighbors across the street, Scruffy Murphy’s.

Although they aren’t open today — Monday, July 15 — be sure to check them out for lunch or dinner this week. The menu is below.

Worcester Ranked Among 100 Most-Stressed Cities in America

The data experts at WalletHub released their latest report — 2019’s Most and Least-Stressed Cities in America — and Worcester was ranked #83 out of nearly 200 cities across the United States.

WalletHub compared each city across 39 key metrics using data set ranges from average weekly work hours to debt load to divorce and suicide rates.

Doherty High Public Meeting Tonight 

From 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM tonight, Doherty High will host a public information meeting on the current design and location discussions taking place regarding the future Doherty High.

The discussion will include:

o A Summary of Input received at Visioning Sessions
o Collection of Additional Feedback from individuals unable to attend the Visioning Sessions
o A Project Update

The meeting will take place in the school’s cafeteria. 

 

Railers Re-Sign a Pair of Forwards

On Friday, the Worcester Railers announced that the club had re-signed two forwards — Drew Callin and Ross Olsson — for the 2019-2020 season .

Callin, 24, of Middleton, WI, scored in his pro debut with the Railers last season on Mar. 23, 2019 and went on to play six games scoring three goals and adding one assist (3-1-4).
 
Olsson, 24, of North Billerica, scored a goal in his pro debut with the Railers last season on Mar. 9, 2019 and also picked up his first fighting major. Olsson played in seven games for Worcester last season scoring two goals and two assists (2-2-4) while adding 16 penalty minutes.
