Rapper Joyner Lucas Offers to Pay for Funeral of 18-Year-old Shooting Victim

From the016.com: Grammy-nominated artist and Worcester native Joyner Lucas has offered to pay for the funeral of Tafar Lewis, the 18-year-old aspiring rapper who was shot on Tuesday night and later succumbed to his wounds.

Lucas posted to his more than 1.7 million Facebook followers, “senseless.. I wanna pay for his funeral. if you know his family, have them reach out to Danny Diaz and il take care of it.”

 

Worcester Senior Center to Offer 6-Week Self-Defense Class

The Worcester Senior Center is offering a six-week class in Karumba Zumba and self-defense. The classes will run every Tuesday from 1 PM to 2 PM from July 9 to August 13. 

The class is being supported through the generosity of Dr. Satya Mitra & the Joy Guru Humanitarian Society and is being instructed by Beth George M.S.N., R.N., black belt in Karate.

Classes are limited to 10 people per class. Register by calling 508-799-1232.

 

Poor Boy Oysters Pop-Up at Greater Good Today

The Poor Boy Oysters food truck will be in the Greater Good Imperial Brewing Co. parking lot today at 55 Millbrook St. in Worcester from 12:30 PM to 4 PM.

Poor Boy Oysters is from Glidden Point Oyster Fram in Edgecombe, Maine. 

Head down to Greater Good for some oysters and a Pulp. 

 

Cars of Summer 2019 Continues Today and Tomorrow at Green Hill Park

Days two and three of the annual Cars of Summer at Green Hill Park continue today at 9 AM.

Cars of Summer is one of the biggest car shows in Central Massachusetts and features hundreds of classic and custom vehicles.
