Milkshakes are BOGO at Chick-fil-A Today

In celebration of National Milkshake Day, Chick-fil-A in Worcester is having a buy one, get one free on all milkshakes.

The offer is good from 2 PM to 5 PM until supplies last.

Chick-fil-A is located at 80 Gold Star Blvd. 

 

ALERTWorcester Now Available in 23 Languages

Worcester’s automated emergency notification system – ALERTWorcester – is now available in 23 different languages: English, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified, PRC), Chinese (Traditional, Hong Kong, S.A.R.), Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan), Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French (Canada), French (France), German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Spanish (General), Spanish (Mexico), Spanish (Spain) and Swedish.

“During a crisis or other emergency situation, communicating clear, timely messages is essential to maintain safety,” said Michael E. Shanley, acting director of Emergency Communications. “Minutes count in an emergency and overcoming a language barrier can have a huge impact in relaying information as quickly as possible.”

Residents are urged to sign up online at the City’s website to be notified by the City of Worcester in the event of emergency situations or critical community alerts. 

Alerts can be sent to cell phones, home phones or via email. Residents can choose how they want to receive notifications. 

Those that already have an ALERTWorcester account can simply login online and change their language preferences. For residents that called in to sign up or filled out a form must call the City’s Customer Service Center at 508-929-1300 for assistance with a change in language preference.

Mass Collab Beer Show to Feature Dozens of Breweries in Downtown Worcester

On Saturday, Sept. 21 from 1 PM to 5 PM. on the Worcester Common, the Great Mass Collab — hosted by the Mass Brewers Guild — will feature special collaboration beers brewed by teams of Mass. breweries.

The beer show will feature food trucks, yards games and more than 50 local breweries. Tickets are $45 for general admission and $10 for designated drivers. General admission includes unlimited beer samples from participating breweries.
