These five things can cover a whole range of subjects and issues that we feel are pertinent to understanding what’s going on in the city and the cities and towns surrounding Worcester.

ShotSpotter Connect Presentation is Tonight

Since 2014, the Worcester Police Department [WPD] has used a gunfire detection system from ShotSpotter across more than eight miles of city streets.

Now, the WPD is proposing they upgrade their technology to ShotSpotter Connect. The program uses data-driven technology to staff officers in areas of the city where crime is likely to occur.

A public presentation on ShotSpotter Connect from the ShotSpotter team will be held Monday night at 6:30 PM. A Q&A session will follow.
