Human Rights Commission Hosting District 4 Listening Session on Police Body Cameras
The City’s Human Rights Commission is hosting another listening session on police body cameras next week for residents in district 4.
The meeting is tonight — Monday, Sept. 13 — at 6 PM at Chandler Elementary Community School and virtually on Zoom.

Worcester Public Schools to Host Vaccine Clinics at High Schools, Middle Schools
Starting today, Worcester Public Schools will host vaccine clinics for students ages 12 to 19 at city high school and middle schools.
Clinics will be held today at Worcester East Middle, Worcester Tech, North High, St. Casmir and Gerald Creamer schools.

‘Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day’ Pub Crawl this week on Green Street
The Police Pipes and Drums of Worcester is hosting its annual “Half way to St. Patty’s Day” pub crawl on Friday, September 17 at 6 PM.
The pub crawl will start at Fiddler’s Green Pub and visit Buck’s Whiskey & Burger Bar, The Hangover Pub, The Banner, The White Eagle and The Compass Tavern.
The pub crawl will help benefit the band’s trip to Washington, D.C. for National Police Week to perform for fallen Worcester Police officer Manny Familia as his name is added to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Wall.

ArtsWorcester Hosting Design Competition for Worcester Wares Stickers, Tote Bags
ArtsWorcester is holding a design competition for limited editions of die-cut stickers and tote bags to be sold at Worcester Wares.
The original design should involve one or more of these ideas, or an interpretation or combination of them:
- the 300th anniversary of the City of Worcester,
- future Worcester,
- your view of Worcester, or a view of Worcester.
The winning design will be:
- original, and not a treatment of any existing logo or design
- legible at different scales and distances,
- full of positive energy, happy anticipation, and/or hope
- enjoyable and appealing for all ages
One design will be selected and the artist will receive $250. The deadline to submit is Friday, September 17. To submit a design and for more information, click here.

Request for Proposal Expected to Be Released this Week for Union Station Cafe Space
A request for proposal is expected to be released this week by the City of Worcester to find a tenant for the cafe space inside Union Station.
The space is 98 square feet and rent is $300 per month. The lease is for three years with two two-year mutual agreement extensions.
Once the bid is open, its expected to be closed in mid-October. The cafe space has been vacant since December 2020.
