Greater Worcester Community Health Needs Assessment
The Central Massachusetts Regional Public Health Alliance invites residents to take part in the 2021 Greater Worcester Community Health Needs Assessment.
Residents of Worcester, Grafton, Millbury, Shrewsbury and West Boylston are welcome to take part in the short, voluntary, anonymous survey.
The Central Massachusetts Regional Public Health Alliance will publish survey findings in the fall.
The deadline to complete the survey is July 15.
Please participate in the 2021 Greater Worcester Community Health Needs Assessment Survey to help understand key problems that impact health in our community.

EcoTarium Announces Interim President and CEO
The EcoTarium at 222 Harrington Way in Worcester announced on Wednesday, June 30, that Michael Halperson has been appointed as the museum’s interim CEO and President.
Halperson experience includes work in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Sales and Marketing, with varied responsibilities. He also has degrees from Union College (Schenectady, NY), University of Massachusetts (Amherst), and did Advanced Graduate Study at the University of Denver. He was appointed a commissioned officer of the United States Air Force, and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for meritorious service.
Halperson assumed responsibilities of the role on June 23.
WRTA Services for Independence Day
The Worcester Regional Transit Authority [WRTA] announced its services schedule for the Independence Day holiday on July 4 and observation of the holiday on Monday, July 5.
On Sunday, July 4, no fixed route bus or van service is available.
On Monday, July 5, all administrative offices are closed.
The customer service center at 60 Foster Street is open for regular business hours on Monday, July 5.
Equity Vaccine Clinics at Worcester Public Schools
Worcester Public Schools hold equity vaccine clinics on Thursday, July 8 and Friday, July 9. The clinic schedule is:

- Burncoat High School – 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM – 179 Burncoat Street
- Worcester Technical High School – 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM – 1 Skyline Drive
- Worcester East Middle School – 8:30 AM to Noon – 420 Grafton Street
- Forest Grove Middle School – 9 AM to Noon – 495 Grove Street
July 9
- North High School – 8:30 to 11:30 AM – 140 Harrington Way
- Alternative School at St. Casimir’s – 8:30 AM to Noon – 22 Waverly Street

Peppercorn’s Back in the Day Brunch Buffet
Peppercorn’s Grille & Tavern at 455 Park Avenue in Worcester hosts its Back in the Day Brunch Buffet on July 10 from 11 AM to 3PM.
The outdoor event includes live music by Throwback to the 60’s Band and a buffet that includes:
- Breakfast Mac & Cheese
- French Toast
- Home Fries
- Bacon
- Sausage
- Eggs
- Fruit Salad
Tickets to the event are $25 and can available for purchase at the Peppercorn’s website.
