Pre-Sale Tickets for Holy Cross Football at Polar Park

Members of the Worcester Red Sox Booster Club can buy pre-sale tickets to see the Holy Cross Crusaders football team host the Colgate Raiders on Saturday, October 23, at Polar Park.

Joining the Worcester Red Sox Booster club has a free tier. Join on the team’s Booster Club  website here.

Main Street Paving Begins Today

Paving on Main Street in Worcester begins on Monday, July 6, from Austin Street, at the Federal Courthouse, to School Street at Armsby Abbey.

Residents should expect construction activity to remain heavy in the area through into August.

Redemption Rock Tips Donation

Redemption Rock Brewing at 333 Shrewsbury Street in Worcester donates all its tips throughout July to Simon Says Give in Worcester.

Simon Says Give is a kid-founded-and-run nonprofit that provides backpacks, supplies, and birthday parties to kids aged 5-12 from low-income families in Worcester. The chapter in Worcester was founded by Simon Eber, then an eighth grader at Forest Grove Middle School, in 2016.

Simon Says Give also has chapters in Minnesota and South Dakota.

Worcester Bravehearts on NESN this Saturday

The Worcester Bravehearts host the Pittsfield Suns this Saturday, July 10. NESN will broadcast the game at Noon.

Any fan who attends the game with a sign that could be shown on the NESN broadcast receives $5 tickets and a free hotdog

This “Sign Me Up” contest will also offer fans a grand-prize package including a team-signed bat, an opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a future Bravehearts game and other items.

Last season the team made their debut on regional television when they took on the Brockton Rox at Campanelli Stadium with no fans due to COVID protocols.

Worcester-native Don Porcaro Jr is the play-by-play broadcaster for all four Futures League Games on NESN. A graduate of Holy Name High School in Worcester and Suffolk University in Boston, is the Bravehearts Director of Production. Porcaro called the Futures League debut games on NESN in 2020.

Doughnut Homies Releases July Menu

Doughnut Homies’ July menu will be available starting Wednesday, but the specialty donut shop inside the Worcester Public Market gave its fans a sneak preview to start the week.

Highlights include a Boston Creme, Pina Colada and Funfetti flavors.

Doughnut Homies is open 11 AM to 8 PM Wednesday through Sunday. Check out the full menu here:
