Masks are No Longer Mandatory on WRTA

The Worcester Regional Transit Authority announced yesterday that masks are now optional to WRTA riders.

Travelers who wish to wear a mask should do so, but WRTA no longer requires mask wearing to ride.

Polar Park Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival Tickets On Sale

Tickets are on sale for the Second Annual Polar Park Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, September 10, from 5 PM to 9 PM. The event features 25 food trucks and over 30 craft breweries.

General Admission Tickets are $35 each  and include a $10 food truck voucher and 10 drink tickets. The WooSox offer a General Admission Designated Driver ticket, which is $25 and comes with a $10 food truck voucher. All tickets come with event access from 5 PM to 9 PM.

This year’s event will offer a VIP Experience with exclusive access to the DCU Club and Hanover Deck, which will feature VIP Beers, Live Entertainment, and exclusive concessions options.  Standard VIP Tickets are $50 and include a $10 food truck voucher, 10 drink tickets, and a VIP gift.  Designated Driver Tickets are $40 and include a $10 food truck voucher and VIP gift.

Resinate Prepares for 4/20

Resinate plans to celebrate the second anniversary of its Worcester dispensary at 1191 Millbury Street on Wednesday.

On 4/20, both Resinate locations in Worcester and Northampton and its grow facility in Douglas will be celebrating the “high holiday” with in-store events and activities for customers and employees. In Worcester, the Resinate store (1191 Millbury Street) will offer a photo booth, giveaways, a limited edition 4/20 “flight” and specials all week on premium flower and on partner brands such as Wynk seltzers, Smokies, and more.

On Friday, April 22, the players and cheerleaders of the Massachusetts Pirates, Worcester’s own professional arena football team, will be in-store to meet fans and enjoy giveaways and photos with Arthur the Pirate, the team mascot.

Massachusetts the Most Bike Friendly State

The League of American Bicyclists has ranked Massachusetts number 1 in the country in the organization’s 2022 Bicycle Friendly State Report Card released on Tuesday.

The League gives Massachusetts the grade of “A” in the categories: Infrastructure & Funding, Education & Encouragement, and Policies & Programs. The full report is available here.

Trout Stocking at Lake Quinsigamond

MassWildlife is hosting a trout stocking event at Lake Quinsigamond that is open to the public.

The event takes place today at 11 AM at 10 Avenue North in Worcester.
