Harlem Globetrotters Coming to Worcester for One Night

The DCU Center will host the Harlem Globetrotters for one night only on Friday, Dec. 30 at 7 PM.

The Globetrotters are a family friendly non-stop basketball action that includes trick shots to long shots to how-did-they-do-that shots, jaw-dropping ball handling, fastest-dribbling, crazy crossovers and high flying and sometimes backboard-breaking dunks. Some fans may get pulled onto the court during the game.

All tickets include access to the 5th quarter, an after-game, all-access meet-and-greet with players.

Worcester Regional Research Bureau Map on Food Insecurity

The Worcester Regional Research Bureau have released a story map that investigates food insecurity in Worcester.

The maps investigate food access, SNAP use, SNAP gap, Food Resources, and demographics. The analysis and these maps can be a valuable tool for policymakers, advocates, or any organization working on Food Insecurity, as it provides spatial insights to inform their planning and actions.

WPI Business School Launches ROI Calculator for Business Degree

The Business School at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is launching a new outcomes transparency initiative that will leverage data science and labor market insights to forecast the long-term value of an MBA.

To help provide students with greater transparency around post-graduation job placement and salary outcomes, WPI will deploy the ReadySet career advising platform from AstrumU. The platform will models match course-level outcomes, academic performance and extracurricular experiences with salary and job placement outcomes from data drawn directly from employers.

The Business School at WPI joins more than 30 business schools that are leveraging AstrumU’s technology to serve prospective students.

Canal District Wines Adds Corporate Team Building Experiences

Canal District Wines, located inside the Worcester Public Market at 160 Green St., is launching new service targeting local professionals.

The bottle shop and tasting room is now offering curated experiences for corporate team building, staff and client appreciation and recruitment, VIP events, board meetings, and networking events. Experiences can be hosted onsite in the shop’s fun, approachable atmosphere or at an offsite location.

Groups will be led through a curated tasting experience by CDW’s trained staff. Each party will work with CDW staff directly to personalize their event according to group interests and budget.
