The Worcester School Committee Meeting is On this Week

Last week, the School Committee meeting was cancelled due to an error by the City while posting the committee agenda.

The School Committee hasn’t met since before April school vacation — which should make this meeting…long.

The meeting is Thursday night at 7 PM at City Hall.

EAW Forum is Tonight

The Educational Association of Worcester [EAW] will meet tonight from 5-7:30 PM for an election forum. Three candidates are running for EAW president — incumbent Roger Nugent, former president Leonard Zalauskas and Michael Patrick Lyons. The evening will consist of a meet and great with the candidates, followed by a question and answer period.

3rd Annual Rachel’s Table FOODraiser at Big Y

It’s a simple concept with big payoff – by taking advantage of Big Y’s buy 1 get 2 free sale, participants are able to donate three times more than usual.

Last year, Rachel’s Table collected over a ton of food in just two hours.

This year’s fundraiser falls on Sunday, May 5 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Big Y on Mayfield St. in Worcester.

All food donations go right to Friendly House in Worcester.
