Glazy Susan Selling ‘Heart of the Commonwealth’ Donut at WHM Today

From 10 AM-12 PM on Friday, Glazy Susan will be selling their ‘Heart of the Commonwealth’ donut during the Worcester Historical Museum’s [WHM] Free Fun Friday.

The donut  is a yeast raised ring with white vanilla glaze, rolled in green sprinkles, and topped with a house-made heart shaped sugar cookie.

WHM’s Free Fun Friday runs from 10 AM – 4 PM and includes a make a Tie Dye T-shirt and a “Hippie” headband activity, a presentation from “Dr. Robert Goddard” and check out the “LGBTQ For the Record” exhibit, visit our Alden Family Gallery and more.

Chamber of Commerce Asking Residents to attend Transportation Meetings

The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce wants to make the public aware of two important meetings which will be taking place in Worcester on Wednesday. Aug. 14.
  • Massachusetts Turnpike I-90 
    • ​​Worcester Technical High School; 6:30 to 8:30 PM
  • Center Platform, Addition Worcester-Boston tracks
    • Worcester City Hall Levi Lincoln Chamber; 6:00 PM
The Worcester Technical High School meeting will focus on the Mass Pike/I-90 Turnpike viaduct redesign inclusive of relocation of the MBTA Commuter Rail track and its planned location during construction. 

At City Hall, discussion will provide updates on the center platform construction as well as the design and possible addition of tracks between Worcester and Boston.

Each month for the rest of the year, Blackstone Valley Cinemas will screen a fan-favorite film as part of the theater’s Bring Back program,

Public Meeting for Cambridge St. Retail Marijuana Store Next Week

On Monday night, Aug. 12, there will be a public hearing on a retail marijuana store opening up at 118 Cambridge St. 

The Community Outreach Meeting for New Dia, LLC’s proposed Retail Marijuana establishment is scheduled for 4:30 PM at the Tatnuck Post NO 288, 570 Mill St.
