53-Year-Old Worcester Man Arrested for Drug Distribution

WORCESTER - Worcester Police Vice Squad officers conducting surveillance near Park Avenue and May Street observed a male pacing in the parking lot of CVS Pharmacy on Tuesday, September 21.

At around 11 AM, a gray Honda pulled into the parking lot driven by Nicholas Diaz Rivera, 53, of Worcester. The man in the parking lot got into his own vehicle and the two individuals met around the corner on Winfield Street.

The man got into Diaz Rivera’s vehicle and exited around 15 seconds later. Police stopped the man and discovered two bags of what they believed to be heroin.

Police then stopped the Honda and removed Diaz Rivera. Officers located several additional bags containing what heroin and bags with cocaine.

Diaz Rivera faces charges of:

  • Distribution of a Class A Substance
  • Possession of Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute
