DUDLEY – A resident reported a man sleeping inside a GMC pickup on Wednesday, September 2, leading to the arrest of John Healy, 56, of Dudley, for drugs and driving under the influence.
The resident reported the truck parked on Northwest Schoolhouse Rd at around 5 PM. The responding officer located the vehicle travelling on Dresser Hill Rd. #2 and initiated a traffic stop.
The officer soon established that Healy’s right to operate had been revoked.
According to police, Healy’s vehicle contained several small baggies and other items containing a substance believed to be cocaine.
Officers conducted a roadside assessment which led them to believe Healy was under the influence of alcohol.
Healy faces the following charges:
- Operating after Suspension / Revocation – Subsequent offense
- Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol -4th Offense
- Operating Under the Influence of Drugs
- Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Marked Lanes Violation
- Possession of Class B Substance – Cocaine
