80-Year-Old Man Injured in Pedestrian Crash in Worcester

WORCESTER – Worcester Police responded to the report of a pedestrian crash on Shrewsbury St. on Sunday, October 18.

An 80-year-old man was rushed to the hospital around 11 AM with serious injuries to his head and back.

The Worcester Police Crash Reconstruction Team’s preliminary investigation indicates that a 76-year-old man from Worcester was exiting the parking lot of McDonald’s, 475 Shrewsbury St., in a 2004 Chevrolet Impala.

The 80-year-old pedestrian was walking along the sidewalk and across the parking lot exit of McDonald’s when he was struck by the Impala.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
