WORCESTER – Abby’s House announced its 15th Annual Hybrid 5k Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, Oct. 19, with a virtual race running from Oct. 12 to Oct. 19.
Registration is now open and closes Oct. 15. The registration cost increases from $30 to $35 on Oct. 1. After online registration ends Oct. 15, the cost rises to $45.
An in-person registration event takes place at Abby’s House, at 52 High St. in Worcester, on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 10 AM to 2 PM and from 4 PM to 7 PM. Those who register online are encouraged to pick up their racer numbers during the same times.
Participants are eligible for awards in the following categories:
- Overall top male & female finishers
- Top male and female finishers in the following categories:
- Under 18
- 18-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70+
- Best Dressed Team
- Best Abby’s House Spirit (Bring your best blue/yellow/Abby’s House theme!)
Those who raise over $500 will receive an Abby’s House 5k baseball cap.
Participants who are joining us virtually will receive an email with ways to log their times on Oct. 15. Virtual participants can register and submit times until Saturday Oct. 19 at 9 AM.
An online auction opens on Oct. 12 at 9 AM and runs until Oct. 19 at 8 PM.
Abby’s House is a non-profit organization that provides shelter and affordable housing, as well as advocacy and support services, to homeless, battered, and low-income women, with or without children.
