SHREWSBURY – Two women were arrested on Wednesday on multiple counts of assault and battery after a home invasion on Julio Drive in Shrewsbury.

According to the Shrewsbury Police Department, Chrislove Bonney, 31, of Southbridge and Tanisha Hutchful, 19, of Worcester, were both arrested for allegedly forcing their way into the home at 18 Julio Dr. on Wednesday and attacking a woman with a knife and physically assaulting her.

Multiple officers responded to a 9-1-1 call from the victim around 12:15 PM. The victim provided a description of the suspects and the vehicle they fled in. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Shortly after responding to Julio Drive, an officer spotted the suspect vehicle driving the opposite direction on Boston Turnpike/Route 9 and notified officers over the radio. The vehicle was stopped heading westbound as it approached the Burns Bridge into Worcester.

After a brief investigation, Bonney and Hutchful were arrested and charged with the following:

  • Armed Home Invasion
  • A&B with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife)
  • A&B To Collect a Loan
  • A&B (3 counts)
  • Malicious Destruction of Property (2 counts)
  • Conspiracy

Police believe the victim and suspects are familiar with each other and this was not a random act of violence. There is no threat to public safety. The incident remains under investigation by the Shrewsbury Police Department.
