SOUTHBRIDGE - Officers and detectives executed two search warrants on Hamilton St. on Friday, May 14 -- one at a residence and another for a vehicle -- resulting in the arrest of a man and woman on drug charges.

Jose Valenitn, 41, and Yazmin Torres-Maldonado, 43, both live on the first floor of the Hamilton St. residence.

While executing both warrants, officers found over 66 grams of what they believe is cocaine packaged for distribution, around $6,000 believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking, a digital scale and other packaging materials.

Valentin and Torres-Maldonado face charges of trafficking in cocaine (36-100 grams), conspiracy to violate the drug laws.

Valentin posted bail of $10,040 and Torres-Maldonado posted bail of $5,040 shortly after being arrested.

Both were arraigned on Monday, May 17, at Dudley District Court.
