Worcester Man Arrested for Stabbing, Assault on Stafford St.

WORCESTER – Worcester Police made an arrest in a stabbing early Tuesday morning.

Just before 1 AM, police responded to the area of 186 Stafford St. for a report of a stabbing. Officer found a 26-year-old male with stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Additional officers who responded to the scene saw a woman jump from a moving vehicle near 3 Stafford St. She was suffering from minor injuries.

The vehicle’s operator — a 27-year-old male — fled the vehicle, but was located by police after a foot pursuit. Officers seized a knife from the man. He was also in possession of Suboxone and other pills.

The female victim told police she was forced into the man’s car, and he struck and punched her. And he also allegedly held a knife at the woman and demanded her purse.

Under the domestic violence law, the name of arrestee will be withheld.

The male suspect, of Worcester, was charged with Assault and Battery, Assault and Battery on a Household Member, Mayhem, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Armed Robbery, Carjacking, Kidnapping, Witness Intimidation, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Operating after a Suspended or Revoked License, Possession of Class B Substance and Possession of Class E Substance.
