Worcester Man Arrested for Break In at Local Charity

WORCESTER – Police arrested a man on Nov. 15 for a break in to a local charity in September.

On Sept. 17, police responded to Abby’s House, at 52 High St., after a report of a break in. Officers determined a break in occurred and referred the case to detectives for an investigation.

The detective’s investigation led to the successful application for an arrest warrant for Larry Berry, 66, of Worcester.

On Nov. 15, an officer with the Neighborhood Response Team saw Berry near Harrison Street at around 10 AM. The officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested Berry on the warrant, which includes charges of:

  • Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime;
  • Larceny in a Building;
  • Possession of Burglarious Tools; and
  • Vandalism.
