WORCESTER – The City of Worcester will host a rededication ceremony for the Betty Price Playground on Friday, Aug. 30.
As ThisWeekinWorcester.com previously reported, the City held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Aug. 8 for the $1.2 million renovation to the playground, but — through an apparent miscommunication — failed to invite Price’s family members and community members to join in the celebration.
According to the City, Friday’s rededication ceremony will be co-hosted by Price’s family and celebrated alongside community leaders and City officials.
Other improvements included a new ADA accessible playground with a poured-in-place surface and playground equipment for ages 2-5 and 5-12.
The rededication ceremony will take place from 4 PM to 8 PM at Betty Price Playground at 74 Eastern Ave.
