BOSTON – A local man faces charges filed in federal court in Boston on Thursday, May 22, for possession of child sexual abuse material.
Law enforcement arrested Yojuande Blaize, 23, of Southbridge, on Thursday for possession of child pornography. The judge in the case ordered Blaize held pending a detention hearing scheduled for May 27.
According to federal prosecutors, a preliminary review by law enforcement of a folder on Blaize’s device contained over 7,000 images and videos. Prosecutors also allege that Blaize admitted he would but contend online and has advertised the sale of, and sold similar material online.
The charge of possession of child pornography provides for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of $250,000.
