DOUGLAS – On Wednesday afternoon, the body of an adult male was discovered one mile into the woods of Douglas State Forest off of Rt. 16 in Douglas.
According to the Douglas PD, at approximately 3:30 PM, officers located a vehicle on Rte. 16/Webster Street near the State Park.
The police were called to check on the well being of the vehicle’s operator. When no operator was found, police searched the surrounding area. The search resulted in the recovery of an adult male body approximately one mile into the woods.
The death is now under investigation by the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office. This is being investigated as an unattended death at this time and foul play is not suspected.
