WORCESTER – According to sources at the scene of Tuesday morning’s car fire at Hope Cemetery and actively involved in the investigation, the body found in the car was female.
As first reported by ThisWeekinWorcester.com, the victims body was found in the trunk of the car.
As of Wednesday evening, the Worcester Police department hasn’t released the name of the victim.
The Worcester Police announced on Wednesday morning that they are seeking the public’s assistance of anyone that was in the area of Hope Cemetery on Tuesday morning between the hours of 8:15 AM and 9 AM.
The WPD is hoping to identify the body found in a trunk of a car set on fire in the cemetery on Tuesday morning. The WPD also hopes to identify the suspect or suspects responsible for the crime. They are asking anyone that may have seen a pedestrian being picked up by another motor vehicle either inside or outside the cemetery.
