Having Trouble Seeing How We Get Here?

WORCESTER – The City of Worcester announced preliminary details of two development projects near Polar Park that are in the initial stages of planning.

The first project, at the site of Table Talk Pies at 120 Washington St.

Boston Capital, the investor in the project, plans four phases of residential development with some ground floor retail at the site. The project will include both affordable and market rate housing.

The first phase of the project, at the corner of Madison St. and Washington St., will include 80 units of affordable housing that includes single and multiple bedroom units. Boston Capital expects to invest $36 million into the first phase and work to begin in 2022.

The rest of the project is still being planned.

Churchill James LLC, based in Worcester, is developing a site at the corner of Plymouth St. and Gold St. that will bring candlepin bowling at ground level with housing above. Some residential housing will overlook the Polar Park.

The company is in the early stages of planning.
