The Worcester Bravehearts won 3-2 in game one of the Collegiate Futures Baseball League [FCBL] championship series in Nashua on Thursday.
Bravehearts third baseman EJ Exposito, a Sophomore at New York Institute of Technology, singled to left and drove in the game-winning run in the 8th inning.
The Bravehearts scored two runs in the first and maintained that lead into the seventh, when Nashua tied the game on a two-run home run.
The best-of-three series continues Friday, August 21, at 6 PM in Nashua. A Bravehearts win would clinch the third straight FCBL championship for the Worcester team and a league leading fifth championship.
A Bravehearts loss on Friday would leave the championship decided by the winner on Saturday, August 22, at 6 PM.
The entire championship series is being held in Nashua due to regulations on gatherings in Massachusetts.
