Two Arrests Lead to Search Warrant, 1,000 Oxycodone Pills

WORCESTER – Two Vice Squad arrests led to a search warrant and several additional charges for drugs and trafficking in Worcester.

A Vice Squad investigation conducted over Tuesday, April 26, and Wednesday, April 27, led to the arrest of Patrick Butts, 31, and Maritza Gomez, 27, both of Worcester, for fentanyl distribution.

Officers were granted a search warrant for the shared address of both suspects. Inside the residence, officers located:

  • Two boxes of ammunition;
  • 1,070 grams of blue 30mg oxycodone pills believed to be fentanyl;
  • 94 grams of varying Adderall pills;
  • 30 suboxone strips (8mg );
  • 500 grams of marijuana flower; and
  • $225,780 in cash.

Both Butts and Gomez face charges of:

  • Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card;
  • Distribution of Class A Substance;
  • Possession to Distribute Class B Substance;
  • Possession of Class D Substance with Intent to Distribute, Trafficking Class B (37-99 grams);
  • Trafficking in more than 200 grams of Heroin, Morphine, Opium; and
  • Conspiracy to Violate Controlled Substance Laws.
