WORCESTER – Last week, Worcester Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Timothy P, Murray hosted an Ireland North West delegation of civic leaders, officials and educators in Worcester for one day of meetings and networking events in hopes of expanding trade.
Led by Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Councillor Maolíosa McHugh and Leas Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council Councillor Noel Jordan, the delegation and Murray, along with representatives from Worcester State University and University of Ulster, North West Regional College and Letterkenny IT discussed the possibilities of future partnerships over lunch.
The Irish delegation was in Worcester to promote the North West as a prime location for business opportunities for Worcester-area companies hoping to expand trade links in the U.S. market.
Murray said, “The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host the delegation from Ireland North West,” he said. “Over the past several years, we have built meaningful economic development and academic partnerships that have created opportunities to expand trade and seed future growth in new innovative sectors of the economy.”
