City Council & Other Meetings Cancelled on Tuesday

WORCESTER – Worcester’s City Council meeting for tonight — Tuesday, Feb. 12 — has been cancelled due to forecasted inclement weather.

The next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 6:30 PM.

Other meetings scheduled for today that are also cancelled include: Public Library Finance Committee, Senior Center Committee, Public Library Board of Directors, Standing Committee on Economic Development and the Standing Committee on Municipal Operations.

As of 10 AM Tuesday morning, the Declared Winter Parking Ban went into effect. Municipal parking garages in the city are open and free of charge to residents affected by the parking ban. (Federal Plaza, Major Taylor, Pearl-Elm, Union Station, Worcester Common; event parking rates still apply).

The Worcester Public Library is closing at 5:30 PM today and the Burncoat, Goddard, Roosevelt, and Tatnuck Magnet library branches are closed Tuesday due to the closing of the Worcester Public Schools.

The Worcester Senior Center will close early at 1 PM today and all programs are cancelled.
