City Urges Covid-19 Testing for Participants in Crowds

WORCESTER – Free COVID-19 testing is available on Wednesday, June 17 and Thursday, June 18 at over 50 locations across Massachusetts.

There is no eligibility requirement or cost to get tested on these days. Those who wish to get tested do not have to be experiencing symptoms. Appointments are required.

UMass Memorial University Campus at 55 Lake Ave N is a participating location. The phone number is (508) 334-1052.

Four CVS Pharmacy locations in Worcester County are taking part.

  • 481 Lincoln St., Worcester.
  • 44 West Boylston St., Worcester.
  • 720 Boston Turnpike Road, Shrewsbury
  • 142 Worcester Road, Charlton

The Governor’s office, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services and the Department of Public Health are jointly taking part in a campaign urging those who attended a large gathering to get tested.

The City of Worcester is also promoting this campaign.

It is not a requirement to have been at a large gathering to be tested.
