WORCESTER – An armed robbery led to the arrest of two Worcester teens on Thursday, Aug. 29.
Polcie responded to a report of an armed robbery of a cell phone near Hawley Street and Pleasant Street shortly after 4 PM. The investigation led officers to issue a “be on the lookout” alert for a silver Ford Fusion.
Officers located the vehicle on Main Street. The investigation resulted in the arrest Alwin Cordero, 18, of Worcester, on charges of Armed Robbery.
Police also arrested Javan Alvarez, 18, of Worcester, who faces charges of:
- Armed Robbery;
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License;
- Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm;
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card;
- Possession of a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number; and
- Improper Storage of a Firearm.
