Crash Involving Stolen Vehicle Leaves Two Seriously Injured

WORCESTER – A collision between a 2008 Lexus and a 2009 Hyundai Sonata at Greenwood St. and Forseburg St. on Sunday, July 26, sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries, while one will face charges for a stolen vehicle.

A call to emergency services around 9:30 PM reported that two people were trapped and unresponsive at the scene of an auto crash. Worcester Police, the Fire Department and EMS all responded to the scene.

After arriving at the scene, officers discovered a 31-year-old male next to the Lexus. EMS transported the man to a local hospital with serious injuries.

First responders extracted a 25-year-old female from the Hyundai. EMS also rushed her to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police officers at the scene determined the Lexus had been reported stolen. Charges are pending against the driver.

According to Worcester Police, the preliminary investigation of the crash reconstruction team indicates the man driving the stolen Lexus had crossed over the center line at the time the two vehicles collided.
