The skatepark will be located at the corner of Quinsigamond Ave. and Endicott St. behind the park’s softball diamond.
The skatepark includes ramps, corner whips, a raised deck, beginner drop-ins, stairs will rails, a bowl and more.
The City held three public meetings and authored a survey to get input from skateboarders, Worcester residents and businesses owners in the area.
Of the 120 responses to the Worcester Skate Park survey, 60 percent of them identified as skateboarders, 70 percent were male, and more than 70 percent were between the ages of 21 to 35.
City Manager Ed Augustus will present the approved plan to the City Council on Tuesday, January 19. City officials have previously stated they expect to see the skatepark completed sometime in 2022.
