Curling Demonstration to Be Held at Worcester Common on Saturday

WORCESTER – Three Central Mass. curling clubs will be holding a curling demonstration on Sat., Feb. 23 at the Worcester Common Oval at 10:30 AM.

The three local clubs will take part in a friendly exhibition which will be followed by the demonstration. Members of the public will have an opportunity to try the sport on the ice skating rink.

The demonstration will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Public skating is then available on the Oval from 1 PM to 6 PM.

The Oval is open during the entire February school vacation this week — 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 19), Wednesday (Feb. 20) and Thursday (Feb. 21); 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 22) and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 23) and Sunday (Feb. 24).

Admission for open skating is $5, and free for children six and younger. Skate rentals are available for $5.
